Kathleen "Kat" Jennings

TaxConnections Inc. was founded by CEO, Kathleen Jennings who has more than thirty years of experience consulting to the worldwide tax community. Kat Jennings previously founded a leading consulting firm to multinational organizations where her responsibilities focused on searching for the very best tax professionals around the world. TaxConnections was born out of her vision to help consumers worldwide save money with improved access to technically trained tax professionals. She wanted consumers to benefit from the opportunity to interact directly with tax professionals around the world!

Kat created a tax centric website that enables consumers to locate tax professionals worldwide; a website where tax professionals from tax organizations, law firms, public accounting firms, corporations, government agencies and independent tax consulting practices could all be seen and heard interacting with each other. She is the visionary and founder of the first interactive Worldwide Directory of Tax Professionals.

Kat Jennings was born and raised in Upstate New York in a small town named Geneva, on a beautiful lake called Seneca. She earned a Bachelor of Science in World Studies at Eisenhower College in Seneca Falls, New York. Eisenhower College was a small private University which has since been acquired by and integrated into Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.

Jason Urdang

TaxConnections Chief Operations Officer, Jason Urdang oversees the development of the website and works with the software engineers and programmers in bringing this platform to consumers worldwide. He brought his social media and technology skills, creative energy and determination to build the TaxConnections wireframe, working side by side with Kat for more than a year to create and build the TaxConnections website. Jason has a passion for social media that is demonstrated by his drive and desire to build TaxConnections to support both consumers and tax professionals worldwide. Jason's intense interest in sports and collegiate experience in athletics has provided the leadership skills necessary for our software development team.

Jason reads and follows everything on Social Media including Mashable, TechCrunch, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn,YouTube, and Stumbleupon. Jason received his Bachelor of Finance, Minor in Management from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Brent Meredith

Brent Meredith is on a mission is to reach the more than one million tax professionals in the United States and the more than three million tax professionals in foreign locations, and educate them on the importance of being listed in our interactive Worldwide Directory of Tax Professionals. Brent spent many months organizing our proprietary tax professional database in order to communicate with tax professionals on the importance of building their professional brand in our interactive Worldwide Directory of Tax Professionals. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Technology Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California.

Roger Rappoport

Roger Rappoport is a Partner with the law firm Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP in San Diego, California. Roger is responsible for guiding TaxConnections management team through our start-up and emerging growth stages. We are grateful for his outstanding advice and guidance and are confident that he will successfully guide our company to acquisition or IPO stage. Mark

Our Chief Technology Officer Mark has experience in internet search applications that run thousands of hosts at multiple data centers; and he has been responsible for eCommerce sites that would receive one million web page requests per minute during peak visitor times. Mark has more than twenty years of software engineering experience with government organizations and Fortune 500 companies. He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota University in Fargo, North Dakota.

Chen

Our Senior Software Engineer Chen previously held the role of Senior Web Programmer for six University of California, San Diego education institutions. He was responsible for overseeing more than seventy online UCSD systems for six university Provosts. He also maintained the database administration for more than one million student records in the UCSD system. Chen has more than nine years software engineering experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Decision Systems from San Diego State University, San Diego, CA; he also earned a Bachelor Degree in Economics from San Diego State University, San Diego, CA and is currently working on a Master Degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from National University, San Diego, CA.

Nick

Our Senior Software Engineer Nick previously developed software applications for missile guidance systems for the defense industry, including ballistic missile defense, steering systems and radar and hardware control systems. Nick has more than ten years programming experience as a software engineer. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois; he also earned his Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

Glenn

Our Senior Software Engineer Glenn has previously developed a web application for the financial market ticker system that consolidated feeds from all primary global financial exchanges into a single feed. This system handled tens of thousands of messages per second and provided redundancy and guaranteed delivery of all data. Glenn has more than fifteen years software engineering experience. He earned a Business Administration Degree in Computer Science and Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Erik

Our Senior Software Engineer Erik has previously developed and maintained several cutting-edge web applications including a system for contests that served thousands of users every month. He also developed a web application that generated significant sales revenue using Authorize.net as it's payment gateway. Erik has more than seven years of experience designing, developing and debugging web applications. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction from the University of California, San Diego in San Diego, California.

Theresa

Theresa brings her incredible leadership and communication skills in providing design reviews to ensure functional accuracy, compliance, completeness and mitigation of risks in the development of our website. Theresa is an accomplished Senior Systems Applications Analyst with experience in the development and documentation of the capabilities of our software systems and relaying this information to our technical and nontechnical users. She also documents our software application for use by our software engineers and management team. In her private time, Theresa is an accomplished and very talented Impressionist Artist. Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, with a Minor is Astronomy and a Focus in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Champaign, Illinois.

Elliott

Our Web Developer Elliott has previously developed websites for a variety of different applications, including music and entertainment companies, lifestyle publications and real estate companies. He also has experience in SEO, promotions, blogs and brand development. Elliott is a trained concert pianist and producer. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of San Diego in San Diego, California.
