Mr. Ugai is currently vice president, tax and customs for Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Ugai received his undergraduate degree (1981) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; his Masters in Taxation (1987) from Depaul University in Chicago, Illinois and his law degree (1997) from the Illinois Institute of Technology-Chicago Kent College of Law. Before joining Starbucks in 2003, Mr. Ugai held various Federal and International tax positions at McDonald’s Corporation, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. Mr. Ugai worked for Coopers and Lybrand in Chicago from 1981 to 1985. Mr. Ugai is currently serving as Region VIII vice president and member of the Executive Committee for Tax Executive Institute. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the AICPA.
