I am looking to move into international taxes. My international experience is filing U.S. information reports for U.S. companies with international trusts, stock in foreign corporations, and money in foreign banks. I also volunteered for a year filing U.S. tax returns for students/families from different countries. I had to research U.S. tax treaties with various countries to be able to complete these individuals' returns. I have a strong tax and accounting background. I worked three years for the fifth largest public accounting firm; two years with real estate partnerships and one year with corporations in the finance industry. I was recruited by a former client into a brand new position as their Tax Manager. In my current role I had to research numerous state and local tax laws and then implement processes for fulfilling their filing requirements. I have also gained expert knowledge and skills in negotiating with various state and local tax authorities on a wide range of real estate tax issues.
