Advising clients on all aspects of taxation, from a Romanian law perspective as well as from the perspective of international regulations, standards and treaties, including without limitation on: corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT, personal income tax, social security contributions, local taxes. Assisting clients in relation to: permanent establishment issues, taxation of derivatives and hybrid financial instruments, issues related to banking and financial operations tax regime. Providing advice on international tax planning and structuring: mergers and acquisitions and other corporate reorganization, tax “health-checks” and due diligence projects that include identification of significant tax exposure areas and verification of tax compliance with the relevant applicable legislation.
