• Served as the primary client contact to manage the quarterly and annual income tax provision audit & review for clients ranging from fortune 500 companies to start -ups. • Led the quarterly and annual income tax provision preparation for public and private companies for their SEC filing and financial statements reporting purposes, including clients in high tech, manufacturing, and retail industries. • Worked with clients closely to monitor and determine the establishment, maintenance, and release of income tax contingencies and valuation allowance. • Supervised income tax compliance including federal and multi-state tax reporting, informational returns such as Form 5471, 8858, and 8868, etc. • Coordinated cross function areas to address clients’ needs and questions, such as international tax, transfer pricing, merger and acquisition, quantitative services (R&D credit, Section 199 deduction, transaction costs, etc.), state and local taxes, human capital, and E&Y foreign offices, etc. • Helped clients to identify, validate and implement tax planning ideas, as well as improve tax provision preparation process. • Dealt with business combination and analyzed and computed the tax impact and related purchase accounting adjustments. • Assisted the clients to determine stock based compensation related tax impact such as deferred tax balance, APIC pool, option charge out, and cost sharing, etc.
