I currently work in the tax department. My primary roles include helping to prepare the federal income tax return, and preparing the state returns for the states assigned to me. My responsibilities for the federal return include assisting the director in tracking and calculating our LIFO adjustments, calculating the 263A adjustments for both our inventory, and our self constructed property, as well as numerous other M adjustments which are not specifically assigned to an individual. I assist the director with federal income tax audits, and I am responsible for the audits of the states to which I am assigned. I have primary responsibility for tracking changes in those state to which I am assigned. I also perform research into federal tax issues as they arise. I have assisted with our property tax renditions. I completed the fuel tax credit calculation in interim while we were searching for a new Property/Fuel Tax Manager.
