Drafting legal tax opinions for clients on various tax laws including Income Tax Act, Value Added Tax, East African Community Customs Management Act and other allied legislation. Reviewing of various agreements from tax angle in order to mitigate future tax liabilities. On call advisory on various tax matters. Have been involved in high end tax litigation before all the forums including the Court of Appeal in the matter related to direct and indirect tax which includes drafting of appeal documents and related submissions. Assist clients in structuring transactions in most tax efficient manner including entry as well as exit out of a particular transaction as well as territory. This includes advising clients, the most efficient vehicle for inbound and outbound investments, structuring of investment vehicles for Funds, various tax efficient schemes available under Indian and African laws
