On passing the professional exams I became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1982. After a period spent working for Price Waterhouse, I joined Horwath Warner Marsh becoming the lead tax partner in that practice. Following the successful disposal of the practice to Numerica in 2002, I headed that firm's Southampton office business tax department. On the sale of that office in 2005, I became a senior corporate tax manager at BDO. I moved to Chicago in 2011 on account of my wife's employment. Since 2012, I have been a Green Card holder. I have over 30 years experience of dealing with UK tax matters, particularly in corporate tax, acquisitions and disposals, transfer pricing, and tax planning for high net worth individuals.
