for 8 years, which post he relinquished in 2010 to become Consulting Editor. He is a longstanding member of the Capital Taxes Sub-Committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) Technical Committee (and was its Chairman between 1997 and 1999) and belongs to both the Country Land and Business Association taxation subcommittee and the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.
