Keynote Speaker Diane Yetter
President, Sales Tax Institute
Diane L. Yetter is a strategist, advisor, speaker, author and expert witness in the field of sales and use tax.

She is president of YETTER, a firm that provides sales tax services including system analysis and strategy, transaction tax automation implementation assistance, training, transactional planning and general consulting to clients of all sizes in myriad industries. Prior to founding the company in 1996, Diane was a tax professional for Arthur Andersen, Quaker Oats and the Kansas Department of Revenue.

Diane is a member of many tax organizations and is frequently asked to present to industry groups concerning sales and use tax issues. As an author, Diane has published three books and numerous articles concerning sales and use tax issues. Diane was named one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People in Accounting for 2011 and 2012. She is also the founder of The Sales Tax Institute, a premier think tank that offers live and online courses to educate business professionals about sales and use tax. YETTER™ and The Sales Tax Institute are members of TaxForward Alliance, a group of leading tax specialists who have come together from various national firm backgrounds to offer a complete continuum of tax solutions.

Diane earned a BS in accounting and business administration from the University of Kansas in 1985 and an MS in taxation from DePaul University in 1994.

Event Description

The Sales Tax Institute will sponsor a three day seminar – Basics of Sales and Use Tax - for individuals with less than four years sales tax experience. Topics will include constitutional basis for the tax, leading cases, tax basis and administration of the tax including collection and remittance procedures and audit defense. It will also include industry specific sections. The format is lecture, case study and group discussion. This class requires no advance preparation and qualifies for 23 hours of CPE.
