Normally this is points which can be deducted on Schedule A. However, you need to make sure they are indeed customarily treated as points in your area. Sometimes the term is used but they are not really points. You probably should check with either your mortgage company or your tax professional. They are 100% deductible if for purchase of your main home. However, if it is a second home or a refinance then the points need to be amortized [expensed] over the life of the loan.
